This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Timely and precise preparation of commercial proposals and technical specifications to support the sales function for solar power photovoltaic (PV) and repower projects.

• Establish a network of commercial and technical evaluator relationships with clients and vendors to define integrated solutions and cultivate a pipeline of potential business within the photovoltaic inverter market.

• Conduct research on competitors’ current and outdated product offerings, evaluate client situations, and design competitive options tailored to meet clients’ specific needs.

• Analyze and assess technical solutions to fulfill requirements for client Repower applications by gathering relevant information from client sites and auditing existing installed equipment.

• Create electrical and mechanical design specifications for products and systems to upgrade existing utility-scale Photovoltaic (PV) systems to the Company solution.

• Define and source hardware solutions to satisfy project requirements, in collaboration with clients and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

• Prepare and deliver presentations at technical conferences and meetings with clients, at their sites as required or assigned.

• Monitor the competitive landscape to identify new products and technologies, providing comparative analysis to the commercial and R&D teams.

• Keep abreast of industry trends to suggest new product and service features.

• Identify, propose, and develop new solutions, products, and applications as requested to drive business growth.

• Review brochures to ensure technical accuracy.

• Offer product and system feedback and identify service improvement opportunities to the appropriate management.

• Determine enhanced product or service feature needs by soliciting client feedback.

• Evaluate supplier proposals to find the best technical and cost-effective solution for each application.

• Formulate pricing strategies to optimize project margins.

• Prepare comprehensive cost elements for the technical specifications.

• Clearly communicate these requirements to clients and the internal engineering team.

• Provide technical guidance during the preparation, review, and final generation of commercial proposals for clients.

• Lead the development of technical and commercial proposals for projects with minimal supervision.

• Draft commercial proposals and technical specifications to satisfy clients’ Request for Quote (RFQ) requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering, or equivalent education and/or work experience.

• 5 years of systems or application engineering experience in the PV industry or related power systems experience.

• Proven experience with codes and standards applicable to the application and installation of utility-scale PV inverter systems.

• Demonstrated success as a contributing member of a project team.

• Familiarity with SolidWorks, CREO, or other 3D modeling software.

• Proven ability to build successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.

• Consistent improvement demonstrated in areas of responsibility.

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.

• Willingness to travel domestically, approximately 40%, and internationally occasionally, sometimes with limited notice.

• Master of Science degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (preferred).

• 8 years of systems or application engineering experience in the PV industry or related power systems experience (preferred).

• Demonstrated success in client-facing, sales, or marketing-related roles (preferred).

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, CREO, or other 3D modeling software (preferred).

• Field experience installing utility-scale Photovoltaic (PV) inverter systems (preferred).

• Familiarity with UL1741/IEEE1547, NEC 690, or other related standards (preferred).
