Safety Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Supervise safety policies and procedures at industrial locations

• Perform routine site inspections and audits to detect potential risks

• Deliver safety training sessions and toolbox discussions for employees and contractors

• Examine accidents, near-misses, and incidents, compiling comprehensive reports with suggestions for enhancements

• Ensure adherence to Canadian occupational health and safety regulations, including provincial guidelines (e.g., Alberta OHS)

• Work in conjunction with project managers and supervisors to foster a safety-first mindset

• Manage safety documentation, records, and reports

• Act as the main point of contact for all safety-related issues at the site

⛳️ Requirements

• National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or equivalent certification is mandatory

• CRSP designation is required

• Prior industrial experience is essential

• Strong understanding of Canadian health and safety regulations, including CSA standards and provincial OHS Acts

• Exceptional communication abilities

• Capability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures

• Expertise in safety reporting and documentation tools

• Required certifications: H2S Alive, CSTS or CSO, WHMIS 2015, First Aid
