This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide outstanding service to members, providers, and pharmacies through both incoming and outgoing calls and emails.
• Accurately and promptly process prescriptions under the supervision of prescribers and supervisors in a call center environment.
• Offer direct assistance to Teladoc providers.
• Handle and de-escalate escalated calls from patients or providers.
• Initiate and submit online prior authorization requests to health insurance companies.
• Organize daily task lists to achieve departmental performance metrics.
• Keep thorough and precise case documentation in the administrative system.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with relevant regulations, including HIPAA.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.
• Availability on weekdays and weekends from 2:00pm to 10:30pm CST, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.
• Willingness to work in a 365/24/7 operation, including holidays.
• High school diploma is required.
• Active national Pharmacy Technician Certification, Medical Assistant Certification, or a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse license.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, Medical Assistant, or LPN/LVN.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center environment.
• Familiarity with healthcare and medical terminology.
• Strong knowledge of prescription medications.
• Willingness to work outside established hours as needed.
• Ability to maintain departmental productivity standards.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced call center environment.
• Ability to work independently and recognize when escalation is necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Effective time-management and organizational skills.
• High level of computer literacy and capacity to manage multiple systems.
• Ability to learn procedures and adapt to changes.
• Capacity to multitask while ensuring accuracy.
• Skill in handling confidential information with discretion.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
