Rust Backend Architect – Twitter/X Style Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and develop a robust social feed infrastructure that is scalable.

• Design architecture for timeline and following systems.

• Establish real-time infrastructure for fan interactions.

• Develop systems for notifications and user engagement.

• Assist in architecting distributed, event-driven systems.

• Create scalable APIs to facilitate social interactions.

• Work on infrastructure related to moderation and communication.

• Contribute to the optimization of systems for global scalability and minimal latency.

• Collaborate with engineers specializing in frontend, mobile, AI, and platform technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Rust backend engineering.

• Proven expertise in designing scalable distributed systems.

• Background in developing high-scale APIs.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture.

• Experience in building real-time systems.

• Strong knowledge of concurrency and infrastructure focused on low latency.

• Experience in designing scalable communication systems.

• Proven track record working with platforms that engage high volumes of users.

• Strong grasp of backend performance optimization techniques.

• Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: social feed infrastructure, timeline systems, follow/follower systems, notification systems, social graph infrastructure, messaging systems, real-time communication platforms, distributed event systems, trending or recommendation systems, moderation infrastructure, large-scale consumer platforms, and high-concurrency backend systems.
