RPG Developer, Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and enhance RPG applications on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platforms.

• Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues related to RPG programs and their associated systems.

• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and client stakeholders to grasp requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Support the integration of RPG applications with other systems and databases.

• Conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes.

• Offer technical guidance and knowledge transfer to client teams when necessary.

• Comply with Deloitte and client security, compliance, and quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an RPG Developer, ideally within financial services or related sectors.

• Strong expertise in RPG IV (ILE RPG) along with familiarity in CL programming.

• Experience operating within IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments.

• Proficiency in DB2 database and SQL programming.

• Capability to troubleshoot and optimize legacy RPG applications.

• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a client-facing setting.

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.

• Availability as a contractor to work onsite or remotely based on client needs.
