Roblox Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and implement gameplay systems, mechanics, and features utilizing Roblox Studio and Luau.

• Construct scalable systems for live Roblox experiences.

• Develop features focused on progression, economy, and player engagement.

• Execute UI, audio, and visual systems as necessary.

• Enhance performance across both client and server environments.

• Troubleshoot and refine existing systems.

• Collaborate closely with artists, designers, and founders.

• Take full ownership of features from initial concept to final release.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive commercial experience in developing successful Roblox games.

• Proven history of launching live Roblox experiences with large player bases (typically tens of millions of visits or notable concurrent player counts).

• Experience managing major gameplay systems from concept through to live deployment.

• Strong technical judgment with the capability to make independent architecture and gameplay decisions.

• Profound understanding of gameplay dynamics, player retention, progression systems, and technical game design.

• Experience working on long-term live products rather than transient prototypes or hobby projects.

• Ability to quickly prototype, iterate, and refine gameplay based on testing and feedback.

• Comfortable taking ownership of complex technical challenges with minimal guidance.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills within a small, senior team.

• Available for full-time work or as a contractor looking to transition into a permanent position.

• Based in the UK and able to work remotely.

• Experience with UI, audio, VFX, optimization, tooling, LiveOps, or extensive Roblox experiences is highly regarded.
