Risk Operations Agent – 8-months Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Evaluate assigned account queues to determine the authenticity of accounts and their holders, assess associated risks, and ensure appropriate actions regarding restrictions or dismissals are taken for each account examined (60%).

• Reach out to account holders to confirm account activities, investigate issues, and reduce potential losses (10%).

• Continuously assess cases and reports to spot emerging trends, and relay pertinent findings and insights to management (10%).

• Observe account activities to identify unusual or suspicious behaviors and take necessary actions to avert fraudulent or unauthorized transactions (20%).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3–5 years of demonstrated experience in high-risk, rule-based, or process-driven settings, ideally within financial services, fraud prevention, risk management, or compliance.

• Strong analytical and investigative skills, capable of recognizing patterns, anomalies, and potential risks in transaction data.

• Practical experience in conducting KYC (Know Your Customer), KYB (Know Your Business), and investigations related to transactions.

• Exceptional written communication skills, with the capability to generate clear, concise, and well-supported case documentation and recommendations.

• Proven ability to make sound judgment calls and risk-based decisions in ambiguous circumstances while operating with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrated capacity to maintain a high level of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail while performing effectively under pressure and managing competing priorities.

• Working knowledge of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations, compliance standards, and best practices for transaction monitoring.

• Flexible and open to providing weekend coverage as part of a team that operates on a 7-day schedule.
