This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage daily risk management duties to ensure the financial integrity, operational controls, and resilience of the clearinghouse for all listed asset classes.
• Handle and respond to regulatory inquiries, routine audits, and requests from governing bodies (such as CFTC, NFA, SEC).
• Supervise end-of-day settlement pricing processes and guarantee the precision of cross-asset pricing data utilized for margin calculations and default management.
• Oversee the risk aspects of client onboarding and maintain ongoing monitoring of market, credit, and liquidity risks.
• Facilitate new product listings and product design with a focus on clearing, ensuring that suitable risk controls and cross-margining efficiencies are established when applicable.
• Lead the development and execution of margin models and strategies for default management/liquidation at the Clearing House, intervening during operational issues involving clearing members.
• Conduct quantitative research to assess default management practices and systemic risk exposure.
• Over 5 years of pertinent experience in clearinghouse risk, default management, operations, or a related field (experience with a CCP is highly advantageous).
• A degree in a quantitative field, with professional qualifications such as CFA and FRM being beneficial.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Comprehensive understanding of equities, commodity products, futures, perpetuals, and other derivatives, along with a strong grasp of pricing, valuation, funding rates, and cross-asset risk correlation.
• Solid knowledge of margin concepts, liquidations, Default Management frameworks, and direct trading experience (either personal or professional).
• Awareness of CFTC, NFA, and SEC regulations, especially as they pertain to clearinghouses and DCO rules, is a significant plus.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to think critically and aim for continuous improvement.
• In-depth knowledge of clearing house rulebooks, policies, and submission procedures necessary for maintaining operational compliance and risk governance.
