Risk & Insurance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the acquisition and continuous administration of insightsoftware's global insurance portfolio, which encompasses D&O, E&O/Professional Liability, Cyber, General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, and various other lines across all relevant jurisdictions.

• Coordinate annual renewal activities by managing broker relationships, preparing underwriting submissions, assessing coverage adequacy, and negotiating terms with brokers and carriers globally to secure optimal coverage at competitive rates.

• Develop and oversee insurance budgets; ensure timely payment of invoices to maintain consistent and uninterrupted global coverage.

• Manage claims and loss control processes from initial notification to resolution, collaborating with GRCD colleagues, internal stakeholders, and external counsel as necessary.

• Evaluate coverage gaps as the business evolves (including M&A activities, expansion into new geographies, and product launches) and recommend necessary program adjustments.

• Maintain insurance certificates and guarantee compliance with contractual insurance obligations across global commercial agreements.

• Identify and address insurance or safety concerns that may lead to litigation if neglected, escalating issues as required.

• Assist in the formulation and maintenance of GRCD's operational risk management policies, procedures, and risk register.

• Prepare loss analyses, risk budgets, and reports supported by relevant data and statistics; monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management strategies to GRCD leadership and senior management.

• Recommend and facilitate the implementation of preventive measures to reduce costs and damages in the event of a loss.

• Collaborate within the Legal Department’s Compliance function and across departments on risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) and audit management where operational and compliance risks intersect.

• Contribute to exit readiness by ensuring that the risk and insurance program is thoroughly documented and prepared for audits.

• Act as GRCD's primary liaison for insurance brokers, carriers, and external risk advisors on a global scale.

• Present risk findings, updates on the insurance program, and strategic recommendations to Legal leadership and other stakeholders.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in Legal, Finance, IT, Commercial, HR, and Operations on risk and insurance issues within GRCD's scope.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Risk and Insurance Manager or a comparable role.

• Proven experience managing a global commercial insurance portfolio across various jurisdictions, including renewals, claims handling, and broker relationship management.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of clearly conveying complex risk and insurance concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements associated with risk management and insurance in global markets.

• Familiarity with risk management software and tools.
