This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Support the design, operation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of enterprise risk management, compliance risk, and internal control activities.
• Identify, assess, and report on key business risks, compliance risks, ethical risks, and business continuity risks, assisting in the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
• Prepare agendas, gather information, manage minutes and actions, and create escalation materials.
• Develop clear and organized reporting materials for management and relevant committees, detailing risk/control status, challenges, options, and recommendations.
• Over 5 years of relevant practical experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
• Practical knowledge in risk assessment, control design and monitoring, compliance programs, incident response, and investigation support.
• Ability to manage tasks and small to medium-sized initiatives under limited supervision, including action logging, stakeholder follow-ups, deadline management, and high-quality documentation.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to organize factual information, identify root causes and control gaps, assess impacts, and provide risk-based recommendations.
• Strong ethics, sound judgment, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information, internal whistleblower cases, and communications with sensitive stakeholders.
• Proficiency in business communication in both Japanese and English.
• Ability to utilize business tools such as Microsoft 365 to create reports, presentations, trackers, and basic data analyses.
