This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and oversee formal review processes for external marketing content and campaigns aimed at customers, which includes advertisements, promotional materials, digital media, social media, and product information.
• Collaborate with Legal, Marketing, and other departments to secure approvals and gather feedback.
• Offer compliance advisory support to Product, Marketing, Legal, Sales, and other divisions throughout the lifecycle of products and campaigns.
• Utilize knowledge of consumer finance regulations, industry standards, and internal policies applicable in the US and Canada.
• Monitor and evaluate industry trends and the regulatory landscape to inform compliance strategy.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries and other compliance advisory responsibilities.
• Stay informed about compliance risks linked to client-specific product structures.
• Foster strong relationships and coordinated efforts with banking partners and Marqeta customers.
• Report to and assist the Senior Compliance Manager as part of Marqeta’s consumer compliance initiative.
• Over 5 years of experience in regulatory marketing compliance within banking, financial services, or fintech sectors.
• Demonstrated knowledge of consumer protection regulations such as UDAP/UDAAP, Reg Z, Reg E, and Reg B.
• Familiarity with advertising standards and industry best practices.
• Proven experience working with Banking as a Service for or alongside a regulated bank, Program Manager, or similar organizations.
• In-depth understanding of banking and/or payments financial ecosystems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Robust analytical capabilities and a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
• Hands-on work style characterized by clarity and conciseness.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly evolving environment.
• Competence in logically prioritizing competing priorities.
• Capability to manage a small team of resources.
• Nice-to-have: experience in supporting bank partnerships, audits, and examinations.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with collateral review systems/tools such as Blee, Workfront, or Red Oak.
• Nice-to-have: CRCM designation or a similar compliance qualification.
