This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Embodies the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine.

• Complies with the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program.

• Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

• Collaborates directly with the Revenue Integrity Senior Analyst to assist the Clinical Department and the revenue cycle, performing charge capture analysis, including annual price increase evaluations.

• Maintains the charge master to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency within Northwestern Medicine.

• Conducts daily maintenance and quarterly audits of the EAP.

• Prepares necessary files for the EAP database related to required departmental builds.

• Identifies charge capture opportunities or compliance issues in revenue-generating departments.

• Researches billing and coding regulations.

• Communicates and aids in implementing any necessary changes that impact policies, finances, charge capture, patient care, billing, and coding operations.

• Assists in quarterly audits of the charge master data elements.

• Reviews departmental front-end charge capture tools for accuracy.

• Takes necessary actions to ensure proper charging on patient accounts.

• Supports complex audits and prepares methodologies for annual pricing reviews and coding modifications.

• Acts as a liaison between Revenue Cycle, IT, and clinical departments to connect EPIC with the charge master.

• Consistently delivers tangible, relevant results.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional literature, building personal networks, adopting and implementing best industry practices, and participating in professional organizations.

• Safeguards operations by ensuring confidentiality of financial and patient information.

• Supports the financial operations of Northwestern Medicine.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or over 10 years of equivalent experience with progressive advancement.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, analytical, and accounting skills.

• High level of precision and attention to detail.

• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Moderate to advanced understanding of CPT coding and third-party billing requirements.

• Knowledge and experience with Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
