This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee engagements aimed at improving the Revenue Cycle, acting as a subject matter expert in back-end revenue cycle operations within an Epic environment.
• Spearhead intricate Revenue Cycle operational transformation projects for healthcare organizations, serving as the back-end Revenue Cycle specialist and utilizing Epic to foster sustainable enhancements in reimbursement, cash flow, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate, redesign, and enhance back-end revenue cycle workflows, encompassing charge capture, coding, billing edits, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, accounts receivable follow-up, credit balance resolution, underpayment recovery, and collections.
• Discover opportunities to enhance revenue integrity, accelerate reimbursement, reduce denials, and improve operational efficiency through process redesign, workflow optimization, and technology enablement.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to align back-end revenue cycle operations with Epic capabilities, implementing sustainable solutions that enhance clean claim rates, minimize denials, optimize reimbursement, and bolster revenue cycle performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of extensive back-end revenue cycle transformation initiatives, including Epic implementations, workflow optimization, and operational redesign projects.
• Formulate project plans, timelines, and assessment methodologies, and oversee current-state assessments along with operational due diligence activities.
• Track progress toward key milestones, provide regular updates to clients, identify risks, and escalate issues appropriately to both internal and client stakeholders.
• Ensure the quality of project deliverables and manage team performance to achieve successful client outcomes.
• Engage in business development activities by crafting proposals, presenting solutions, and contributing expertise in back-end revenue cycle operations.
• At least 7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
• In-depth knowledge of back-end revenue cycle operations, including denials management, accounts receivable reduction, cash acceleration, insurance follow-up/collections, and payer yield optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to identify revenue leakage, design operational enhancements, and implement sustainable solutions that positively affect the bottom line.
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle performance metrics, benchmarking, and the operational levers that influence net revenue realization.
• Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams through large-scale revenue cycle transformation and operational change initiatives.
• Capability to translate complex revenue cycle data into actionable strategies and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to senior client leadership.
• Comfortable juggling multiple client priorities in a fast-paced, matrix-structured consulting environment.
• Familiarity with Epic environments preferred; functional knowledge of Hospital Billing (HB) and/or Professional Billing (PB) workflows is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
