Senior Backend Developer, File Processing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Transition and redesign legacy Perl batch jobs and crontab pipelines into contemporary Python-based services.

• Develop and execute orchestration using Prefect or Airflow, incorporating alerting systems, observability dashboards, and safe job re-run functionalities.

• Oversee the data layer for file ingestion: uploading raw scheme files to S3, parsing and transforming them, and storing them in PostgreSQL or RDS for reconciliation.

• Process and reconcile payment scheme files from card schemes and acquirers.

• Create technical documentation and establish best practices for the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with production-grade Python.

• Demonstrated expertise in job orchestration utilizing Prefect or Airflow.

• Extensive experience with AWS services, particularly S3, Lambda, SQS, and ECS.

• Strong background in relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and handling large-scale file-based data.
