Retail Specialist

📋 Description

• Collaborate with research and engineering teams to pinpoint and resolve knowledge deficiencies in retail merchandising, category management, buying, planning, and operations.

• Create challenging and realistic retail tasks that mirror actual business scenarios and decision-making processes.

• Formulate precise and well-reasoned solutions based on established retail practices and professional experience.

• Assess AI-generated responses using structured rubrics for accuracy, reasoning, judgment, relevance, and completeness.

• Deliver clear, actionable written feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

• Develop and enhance retail evaluation guidelines and scoring frameworks.

• Partner with subject-matter experts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across AI training and evaluation datasets.

• Convert practical retail knowledge and decision-making processes into structured guidance to enhance AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional retail experience in merchandising, category management, buying, retail planning, retail operations, or related areas.

• Experience in a well-known large-scale retail, consumer, e-commerce, or omnichannel organization is strongly preferred.

• Essential hands-on experience in evaluating LLM or AI-generated outputs against rubrics or structured scoring criteria.

• Proven track record of career advancement and increased responsibilities.

• Strong grasp of retail strategy, merchandising processes, category performance, inventory considerations, customer behavior, and operational decision-making.

• Capability to evaluate complex business scenarios and determine the practicality and commercial viability of recommendations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.

• High attention to detail and consistency in applying evaluation criteria.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject-matter experts.

• Commitment to approximately 35 hours per week during weekdays.
