This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies and priorities.
• Ensure a consistent flow of fresh merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor.
• Execute and uphold merchandising standards effectively.
• Merchandise PEI departments in accordance with current merchandising and visual guidelines.
• Collaborate with Visual Managers.
• Confirm that PEI areas feature the appropriate graphics.
• Assess merchandising strategies and suggest enhancements for the shop.
• Ensure markdowns are completed as scheduled, clearly signed, and easy for customers to navigate.
• Maintain ongoing communication with management regarding store recaps, floor maps, and photographs.
• Collaborate with retailers on store visit concerns, staff productivity, business opportunities, competitive insights, outpost prospects, shop locations, and lost real estate.
• Communicate with sales teams and retail partners about stock challenges and opportunities, best or slow sellers, and sizing options.
• Develop strategies that drive business growth through sales contests and innovative merchandising.
• Analyze PEI trends in comparison to competitors.
• Ensure markdown schedules, staffing, and floor space remain competitive.
• Conduct seasonal or as-needed seminars on brand marketing, product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and selling skills.
• Review business plans, expectations, and weekly/monthly metrics with store management or sales specialists.
• Communicate PEI special events and contests within the designated territory.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1–2 years of prior experience as a Retail/Merchandise Coordinator or in visual merchandising.
• Experience in apparel or department stores is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of retail mathematics.
• Proficient in reading and analyzing business reports and purchase orders.
• Ability to multitask and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Capacity to balance service across multiple brands within various retailers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Must have access to home Internet and a smartphone.
• Must possess reliable transportation for travel to stores.
