This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Merchandise departments at Perry Ellis International in accordance with current merchandising and visual guidelines.
• Collaborate with Visual Managers.
• Ensure all PEI areas display appropriate graphics.
• Evaluate merchandising strategies and concepts, providing recommendations for shop improvements.
• Make certain markdowns are executed on time, clearly marked, and easy for customers to locate.
• Maintain ongoing communication with management regarding store recaps, floor layouts, and visual documentation.
• Collaborate with retailers on unresolved issues, staff efficiency, business prospects, competitive insights, outpost opportunities, store locations, and real estate management.
• Liaise with sales teams and retail partners to discuss stock challenges and opportunities, identify best and slow-selling items, and explore sizing options.
• Create business-enhancing strategies through sales contests and innovative merchandising.
• Analyze PEI trends in comparison with competitors.
• Ensure markdown schedules, staffing levels, and floor space are competitive.
• Conduct seasonal or as-needed workshops on brand marketing, product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and sales skills.
• Review business objectives, expectations, and weekly/monthly metrics with store management or sales specialists.
• Communicate information about PEI special events or contests within the designated territory.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Retail/Merchandise Coordinator or in visual merchandising is preferred.
• Experience in apparel or department stores is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of retail mathematics.
• Proficient in reading and analyzing business reports and purchase orders.
• Capable of multitasking while maintaining excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple brands across various retailers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Must have access to home Internet and a smartphone.
