This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement merchandising plans and priorities.
• Ensure a steady flow of merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor.
• Implement and uphold merchandising standards.
• Merchandise PEI departments in line with current merchandising and visual guidelines.
• Collaborate with Visual Managers.
• Confirm that PEI areas feature appropriate graphics.
• Assess merchandising strategies and ideas, providing recommendations for shop improvements.
• Ensure markdowns are processed on time, are properly signed, and are easily accessible for shopping.
• Maintain consistent communication with management regarding store recaps, floor maps, and visual documentation.
• Collaborate with retailers on ongoing issues, staff productivity, business opportunities, competitive insights, outpost possibilities, shop locations, and loss of real estate.
• Engage with sales teams and retail partners regarding stock issues and opportunities, best or slow-selling items, and sizing options.
• Create business-driving strategies through sales contests and innovative merchandising.
• Analyze PEI trends in comparison to competitors.
• Ensure markdown schedules, staffing, and floor space are competitive.
• Conduct seasonal or as-needed in-store seminars on brand marketing, product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and sales techniques.
• Review business plans, expectations, and weekly/monthly metrics with store management or sales specialists.
• Communicate PEI special events or contests within the assigned territory.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 1–2 years of prior experience as a Retail/Merchandise Coordinator or in visual merchandising; experience in apparel or department stores is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of retail mathematics.
• Capability to read and analyze business reports and purchase orders.
• Ability to multitask and exhibit strong organizational skills.
• Skill in balancing the needs of multiple brands within various retailers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to work autonomously and manage tasks effectively.
• Must have home internet access and a smartphone.
• Must have reliable transportation for travel to stores.
