This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Merchandise departments within Perry Ellis International by utilizing current merchandising and visual directives.
• Collaborate closely with Visual Managers.
• Ensure that all PEI areas are equipped with the appropriate graphics.
• Assess merchandising strategies and ideas, proposing enhancements for shops.
• Guarantee that markdowns are applied on schedule, properly signed, and user-friendly for shoppers.
• Maintain consistent communication with management concerning store recaps, floor maps, and photographs.
• Work alongside retailers to address store-visit challenges, staff productivity, business opportunities, competitive insights, outpost possibilities, shop locations, and real estate losses.
• Engage with sales teams and retail partners regarding stock challenges and opportunities, best or slow-selling items, and sizing options.
• Create business-enhancing strategies through sales contests and innovative merchandising.
• Analyze PEI trends in comparison to competitors.
• Ensure that markdown schedules, staffing, and floor space remain competitive.
• Conduct seasonal or as-needed workshops on brand marketing, product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and sales skills.
• Review business plans, expectations, and weekly/monthly performance metrics with store management or sales specialists.
• Relay information about PEI special events or contests within the designated territory.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 1–2 years of prior experience as a Retail/Merchandise Coordinator or in visual merchandising.
• Experience in apparel or department stores is advantageous.
• Strong grasp of retail mathematics.
• Capability to read and interpret business reports and purchase orders.
• Proficient in multitasking while maintaining excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple brands across various retailers effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Must have access to home Internet and possess a smartphone.
• Own transportation is required for travel to stores.
