This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies and priorities.
• Ensure a seamless flow of fresh merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor.
• Execute and uphold merchandising standards consistently.
• Arrange PEI departments in accordance with current merchandising and visual guidelines.
• Collaborate with Visual Managers and retail partners.
• Ensure that PEI sections are equipped with appropriate graphics.
• Assess merchandising approaches and suggest enhancements for the shop.
• Ensure that markdowns are executed on time, properly signed, and easy to navigate.
• Maintain ongoing communication with management regarding store recaps, floor layouts, and images.
• Discuss issues encountered during store visits, staff efficiency, business opportunities, competitive insights, outpost prospects, shop locations, and lost real estate with retailers.
• Liaise with sales teams and retail partners about inventory challenges and opportunities, including top and slow-selling items, as well as sizing prospects.
• Create strategies that drive business growth through sales competitions and innovative merchandising.
• Analyze PEI trends relative to competitors.
• Ensure that markdown schedules, staffing, and floor space remain competitive.
• Conduct seasonal or as-needed store seminars covering brand marketing, product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and sales skills.
• Review business plans, expectations, and weekly/monthly performance metrics with store management or sales specialists.
• Communicate PEI special events or contests within the designated territory.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Retail/Merchandise Coordinator or in visual merchandising is essential.
• Experience in apparel or department stores is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of retail mathematics is necessary.
• Ability to read and analyze business reports and purchase orders is required.
• Proficiency in multitasking while maintaining strong organizational abilities.
• Capability to balance serving multiple brands across various retailers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks effectively.
