This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies and priorities.
• Ensure a seamless flow of fresh merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor.
• Execute and uphold merchandising standards consistently.
• Merchandise Perry Ellis International departments in line with current merchandising and visual directives.
• Collaborate with Visual Managers.
• Make certain that PEI areas feature appropriate graphics.
• Assess merchandising strategies and suggest enhancements for the shop.
• Ensure markdowns are processed on schedule, are signed, and facilitate easy shopping.
• Maintain ongoing communication with management regarding store recaps, floor maps, and photographs.
• Collaborate with retailers on issues related to store visits, staff productivity, business opportunities, competitive insights, outpost opportunities, shop locations, and loss of real estate.
• Communicate with sales teams and retail partners about stock issues and opportunities, best or slow sellers, and sizing possibilities.
• Develop strategies that drive business through sales contests and innovative merchandising.
• Compare PEI trends against competitors.
• Ensure markdown schedules, staffing, and floor space remain competitive.
• Conduct seasonal or as-needed store seminars on brand marketing, product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and selling skills.
• Review business plans, expectations, and weekly/monthly metrics with store management or sales specialists.
• Communicate PEI special events or contests within the designated territory.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 1–2 years of prior experience as a Retail/Merchandise Coordinator or in visual merchandising.
• Experience in apparel or department stores is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of retail mathematics.
• Ability to read and interpret business reports and purchase orders.
• Capable of multitasking and possessing robust organizational skills.
• Ability to balance servicing multiple brands across various retailers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
