This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Merchandise departments at Perry Ellis International by applying the latest merchandising and visual guidelines.
• Collaborate with Visual Managers.
• Ensure that all Perry Ellis International areas are equipped with suitable graphics.
• Evaluate new merchandising strategies and concepts, recommending enhancements to the shop.
• Confirm that markdowns are executed timely, signed, and easy for customers to navigate.
• Maintain ongoing communication with management regarding store recaps, floor plans, and visual documentation.
• Work alongside retailers to address open issues, improve staff productivity, explore business opportunities, gather competitive insights, identify outpost opportunities, assess shop locations, and manage real estate losses.
• Liaise with sales teams and retail partners about inventory challenges and opportunities, including best and slow-selling items, as well as sizing options.
• Create strategies that drive business growth through sales contests and innovative merchandising.
• Analyze Perry Ellis International trends in comparison to competitors.
• Ensure that markdown schedules, staffing, and floor space are competitive.
• Conduct seasonal or as-needed store seminars focused on brand marketing, product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and sales skills.
• Review business plans, expectations, and weekly/monthly performance metrics with store management or sales specialists.
• Communicate details of Perry Ellis International special events or contests within the designated territory.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 1–2 years of prior experience as a Retail/Merchandise Coordinator or in visual merchandising.
• Experience in apparel or department stores is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of retail mathematics.
• Ability to interpret and analyze business reports and purchase orders.
• Capable of multitasking while maintaining excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in balancing the needs of multiple brands across various retailers.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Must have access to home Internet and a smartphone.
