Residential Mortgage Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Generate mortgage loan applications via inbound calls, referrals, and online platforms.

• Conduct pre-qualification interviews and suggest suitable loan options.

• Ensure that applications are thorough, precise, and adhere to regulatory and internal standards.

• Oversee mortgage loan pipelines while maintaining ongoing communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Cultivate relationships with prospects through follow-ups to turn opportunities into funded loans.

• Meet sales targets through proactive outreach, referrals, and multi-channel engagement strategies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to cross-sell products and link customers to the right solutions.

• Share knowledge and contribute to enhancements in processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in consumer lending, loan origination, processing, or credit analysis.

• Experience in a multi-channel sales atmosphere is preferred.

• Familiarity with lending regulations such as ECOA, RESPA, and Regulation Z is preferred.

• Must accurately represent yourself and your experiences during recruitment and hiring processes.

• Must successfully complete Associated Bank’s background check.

• Must adhere to applicable enterprise policies, laws, regulations, and training requirements.

• Responsible for reporting suspicious activities to Financial Intelligence.

• Accountable for reporting customer complaints and procedural violations to management or HR.

• Tasked with reporting ethical concerns to Associated Bank’s anonymous Ethics Hotline.
