This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Albania.
• Assist in the execution of research and fieldwork initiatives in North Macedonia and Albania.
• Produce high-quality empirical data pertaining to Shared Holy Places (SHPs).
• Conduct mapping, site visits, qualitative research, stakeholder engagement, and analytical reporting.
• Ensure consistency with the project’s comparative and interdisciplinary framework.
• Key deliverables encompass the Mapping and Case Study Report, Country-Level Analytical Report (Albania), and Comparative Insights Report.
• At least 2 years of academic and practical research experience in relevant fields (such as religious studies, anthropology, or cultural heritage).
• Bachelor's degree in Ottoman history, Turkish language, or related disciplines, along with experience in archives.
• Strong qualitative research and analytical capabilities.
• Experience in fieldwork, documentation, and data management.
• Familiarity with the regional contexts of the Balkans, particularly Albania and North Macedonia.
• Experience in working within culturally and religiously diverse settings.
• Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in translation and interpretation is considered an asset.
• Contributions to academic or cultural outputs are regarded as a plus.
• Fluency in English, Albanian, and Turkish is required.
