This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee and execute subject recruitment, enrollment, follow-up, data collection, and the overall conduct of studies.
• Identify and evaluate potential research subjects.
• Engage in the recruitment and ongoing follow-up of research subjects, including monitoring those who are lost to follow-up.
• Provide explanations and secure signatures for informed consent documents.
• Input, transcribe, code, clean, retrieve, and manage study data.
• Handle program records and communication requirements.
• Assist with generating reports, creating presentations, analyzing data, and providing feedback on study progress.
• Enlist and register study participants using authorized methodologies.
• Organize participant appointments and conduct reminder calls or mail notifications.
• Evaluate data collection forms for accuracy and completeness.
• Review junior staff's data entry to ensure timely and precise input.
• Offer technical support and guidance to junior staff members.
• Acquire and distribute participant reimbursement vouchers.
• Assist the Data Monitoring and Safety Board by tracking and reporting adverse events.
• Prepare and maintain Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals, correspondence, amendments, and renewals.
• Conduct literature reviews.
• Support investigators in the preparation of manuscripts, presentations, and research activities.
• Carry out office-related administrative tasks, including handling phones, mail, supplies, faxes, scanning, filing, photocopying, collating, and updating policy manuals.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• A minimum of 1+ years of experience in research or clinical program activities is essential.
• Experience in recruiting research subjects and a solid understanding of ethical and technical aspects of research conduct.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Exceptional English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is a plus.
• Cultural awareness and comfort working with diverse social, racial, and ethnic groups.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools is beneficial.
• Ability to perform basic data management tasks, such as coding, data entry, data cleaning, and retrieval.
• Familiarity with quantitative data analysis software like SPSS, SAS, or Minitab is advantageous.
• Candidates must complete a background check prior to commencing employment.
