This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Achieve quarterly release objectives for designated components.
• Collect and analyze requirements as outlined by federal and state agencies.
• Create requirement specifications using DOORS.
• Review requirements with product engineers and quality analysts before the release.
• Collaborate closely with component engineers to implement software changes.
• Assist internal teams with escalated customer concerns.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or a related technical/health care field.
• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
• Over three years of experience in healthcare-related computer science, particularly with patient classification systems and/or data analysis.
• Exceptional reading comprehension skills, including the ability to interpret and convey complex regulatory documents both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences with varying skill levels.
• Understanding of medical grouping, editing, and coding within the healthcare sector.
• Familiarity with and experience in ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT coding practices, as well as knowledge of various groupers (MS-DRG, APC, APR, etc.).
• Capability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision while adhering to strict project timelines.
• Experience with Health Information System (HIS) products.
• Demonstrated data analysis capabilities.
• Strong technical expertise.
• Proven experience in collaborating with third-party entities.
• Background in billing.
• Experience in claims adjudication.
• Knowledge of patient accounting and patient financial services.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payment methodologies, and commercial insurance contracts.
