Regulatory & Legal Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Accountable for ensuring full regulatory compliance of all Doonails products in our key markets (EU, CH, UK, USA)

• Main contact for product approvals, claims, labeling, and initial legal evaluations

• Safeguard Doonails against regulatory risks while expediting our product launches

• Develop an internal compliance knowledge base to lessen reliance on external consultants

• Oversee external laboratory testing and safety evaluations

• Generate, sustain, and independently interpret PIFs, safety data sheets, and laboratory reports

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs or Legal Compliance, preferably in the cosmetics, beauty, or FMCG industries

• Strong understanding of EU cosmetics legislation (Regulation 1223/2009); hands-on experience with CPNP, PIFs, and Cosmetic Product Safety Reports; knowledge of other markets (CH, UK, USA) is beneficial

• Familiarity with compliance for claims and labeling requirements for cosmetic products—you understand what should be included on packaging and the rationale behind it

• Awareness of packaging regulations and waste compliance (VerpackG, LUCID, EPR, Battery Regulation) is advantageous

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously—you maintain an overarching view, prioritize effectively, and know when to seek external expertise

• Receptive to utilizing AI tools and digital workflows for documenting and interpreting regulatory information—you take proactive steps rather than waiting

• Proficient in German, with strong English skills—additional EU languages are a plus
