This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
• Deliver nutrition-focused care and continuous support to patients and their families who are undergoing treatment for eating disorders.
• Create and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to the distinct requirements of each patient.
• Conduct initial nutritional evaluations, prescribe meal plans, and determine target weight ranges through telehealth consultations.
• Provide guidance on exposure to challenging or fear-inducing foods.
• Clearly communicate meal plans and nutrition-related concerns to team members, while educating them on how to address these issues.
• Reflect the directives of the treatment team in interactions with families.
• Support the discharge planning process.
• Regularly update treatment plans weekly, including patient progress, goals, assignments, and nutritional concerns.
• Reassess nutritional requirements and relay recommendations to both the treatment team and families.
• Offer evidence-based nutrition education aimed at addressing irrational beliefs and thoughts regarding food, nutrition, weight, and body shape.
• Build therapeutic relationships with families through rapport, boundary setting, and collaborative alliances.
• Accurately document care in Equip’s electronic medical records.
• Participate in mandatory meetings, which include group supervision, treatment huddles, labs/all-hands, and individual supervision.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Valid state license in West Virginia.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or college coursework that is accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
• Must be a licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with diverse teams.
• Experience working within interdisciplinary teams.
• Availability for 30 hours per week of direct patient care.
• Must commit to at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM in the working time zone throughout the week.
• Willingness to work until 8 PM on two evenings each week.
• Attendance at mandatory meetings is required.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that undergoes rapid changes and innovations.
• Capable of understanding and balancing business needs alongside clinical priorities.
• Highly organized and driven by results.
• Experience in treating eating disorders is preferred.
• Familiarity with or experience in family-based eating disorder treatment approaches is preferred but not mandatory.
