This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support patients and their families in changing unhealthy eating habits into a positive relationship with food through continuous guidance.
• Create and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients.
• Conduct regular virtual consultations, which include initial nutrition evaluations, meal plan recommendations, and assessments for target weight ranges.
• Facilitate exposure to challenging or feared foods.
• Communicate meal plans and nutritional issues to team members, providing necessary education.
• Reinforce treatment team guidelines during interactions with families.
• Assist in planning for patient discharge.
• Weekly update treatment plans based on patient progress, goals, tasks, and nutritional concerns.
• Reevaluate nutritional needs and relay recommendations to the treatment team and families.
• Provide evidence-based nutrition education that addresses irrational beliefs and thoughts about food, nutrition, weight, and body shape.
• Build therapeutic relationships with families through rapport development, boundary establishment, and collaborative alliances.
• Accurately document care in Equip's electronic medical records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree or accredited coursework approved by ACEND.
• A licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is required.
• Experience with eating disorders is preferred.
• Familiarity with family-based treatment approaches for eating disorders is preferred but not necessary.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams.
• Experience participating in interdisciplinary teams.
• Highly organized and focused on results.
• Ability to balance clinical priorities with business needs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment subject to rapid changes and innovations.
• Availability for 30 hours per week of direct patient care.
• Ability to provide at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM in the working time zone weekly.
• Availability to work until 8 PM two evenings weekly.
• Must be able to attend mandatory meetings.
• Providers must be licensed or registered as required in each state where care is provided.
• Central Hours.
