This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support patients and their families in transitioning from unhealthy eating behaviors to a positive relationship with food through continuous guidance.
• Create and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
• Perform initial nutritional evaluations, develop meal plans, and assess target weight ranges via telehealth.
• Facilitate exposure to fear or challenge foods.
• Clearly communicate meal plans and nutrition-related concerns to treatment team members and provide educational resources.
• Reinforce treatment team directives during interactions with families.
• Assist in planning for patient discharge.
• Regularly update treatment plans with patient progress, goals, tasks, and nutritional issues.
• Reevaluate nutritional requirements and relay recommendations to the treatment team and families.
• Provide evidence-based nutrition education that addresses irrational beliefs and thoughts regarding food, nutrition, weight, and body shape.
• Build therapeutic relationships with families, focusing on rapport development, boundary establishment, and collaborative alliances.
• Accurately document care in Equip’s electronic medical records system.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree or college coursework accredited or approved by ACEND is required.
• Must hold a valid RDN license.
• Experience with eating disorders is preferred.
• Familiarity with family-based approaches to eating disorder treatment is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to manage a caseload of up to 80 patients.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within diverse teams.
• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams is advantageous.
• Must be organized and results-oriented.
• Ability to comprehend and balance business demands with clinical priorities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is subject to rapid changes and innovations.
• Availability for 30 hours per week of direct patient care is necessary.
• Commitment to a minimum of 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 pm in the relevant time zone of the patient population.
• Willingness to work until 8 pm on two evenings per week.
• Attendance at mandatory meetings is required.
• Providers must be licensed or registered in every state where they provide care.
