This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver nutrition-focused care for children and families participating in eating disorder treatment utilizing Equip’s family-based treatment model.
• Assist patients and their families in transitioning from maladaptive eating habits to a positive relationship with food.
• Create and execute personalized treatment plans.
• Perform initial nutrition evaluations, recommend meal plans, and assess target weight ranges via telehealth consultations.
• Facilitate exposure to fear and challenge foods.
• Relay meal plans and nutrition-related issues to fellow treatment team members.
• Educate to resolve nutrition-related challenges.
• Aid in discharge planning processes.
• Update treatment plans weekly to reflect patient progress, goals, assignments, and directives.
• Reevaluate nutritional needs and share recommendations with the treatment team and families.
• Provide evidence-based nutrition education addressing irrational beliefs and thoughts about food, nutrition, weight, and body shape.
• Build therapeutic relationships with families and work collaboratively towards treatment objectives.
• Maintain thorough documentation in Equip’s electronic medical record system.
• Manage a caseload of up to 80 patients.
• Participate in mandatory supervision, treatment, laboratory, all-hands, and other meetings.
• Valid license in Texas.
• At least a bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework accredited or recognized by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
• Licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is required.
• Experience with eating disorders is preferred.
• Familiarity or experience with family-based treatment methods for eating disorders is desirable but not mandatory.
• Capability to manage a caseload of up to 80 patients.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with diverse teams.
• Experience working within interdisciplinary teams.
• Highly organized and results-oriented.
• Ability to balance clinical priorities with business needs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is subject to rapid changes and innovation.
• Availability to provide 30 hours per week of direct patient care.
• Commitment to at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM in the patient population’s time zone.
• Ability to work until 8 PM two evenings a week.
• Willingness to attend mandatory meetings.
• Providers must hold a license or registration as required in every state where care is delivered.
