This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Provide continuous nutritional support to assist patients in transforming unhealthy eating habits into a positive relationship with food.
• Create and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific requirements.
• Facilitate regular family meetings through telehealth, which include initial nutritional evaluations, meal plan prescriptions, and assessments of target weight ranges.
• Support exposure to fear foods and challenge foods.
• Clearly communicate meal plans and nutrition-related issues to all members of the treatment team.
• Offer educational resources to address and resolve nutrition-related challenges.
• Reinforce treatment team directives when engaging with families.
• Aid in discharge planning processes.
• Update treatment plans weekly to reflect patient progress, treatment objectives, and nutrition-related tasks or instructions.
• Reassess nutritional needs and relay recommendations to both the treatment team and families.
• Provide evidence-based nutrition education that addresses irrational thoughts and beliefs regarding food, nutrition, weight, and body shape.
• Build therapeutic relationships with families through rapport building, boundary setting, and collaboration towards treatment goals.
• Thoroughly document care in Equip’s electronic medical record system.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Active state license in South Carolina is required.
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree, or college coursework accredited or approved by ACEND is necessary.
• Licensed RDN is mandatory.
• Experience in treating eating disorders is preferred.
• Familiarity or experience with family-based approaches to eating disorder treatment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams are essential.
• Experience working on interdisciplinary teams is required.
• Must be organized and results-oriented.
• Ability to balance business needs with clinical priorities is necessary.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment that is subject to rapid changes and innovations.
• Availability for 30 hours per week of direct patient care is required.
• Must be available for a minimum of 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM in the working time zone each week.
• Ability to work until 8 PM two evenings each week is required.
• Must attend mandatory meetings.
• Providers must hold a license or registration as required in every state where they provide care.
