This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Provide continuous nutritional support to assist patients in transforming unhelpful eating habits into a healthy relationship with food.
• Create and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Perform initial nutritional assessments, prescribe meal plans, and evaluate target weight ranges via telehealth consultations.
• Facilitate exposure to fear or challenge foods.
• Clearly communicate meal plans and nutritional concerns to members of the treatment team.
• Educate patients on addressing and resolving nutrition-related issues.
• Reflect treatment team directives in interactions with families.
• Support discharge planning efforts.
• Regularly update treatment plans on a weekly basis, including patient progress, goals, assignments, and concerns.
• Reassess nutritional needs and convey recommendations to both the treatment team and families.
• Provide evidence-based nutrition education that addresses irrational thoughts and beliefs regarding food, nutrition, weight, and body shape.
• Foster therapeutic relationships with families through rapport building, boundary setting, and collaborative treatment goals.
• Accurately document care in Equip’s electronic medical record system.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Must possess an active state license in Washington, D.C.
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant coursework accredited or approved by ACEND is required.
• Licensed RDN is mandatory.
• Experience with eating disorders is preferred.
• Familiarity with family-based eating disorder treatment methods is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams are essential.
• Experience working on interdisciplinary teams is beneficial.
• Organized and results-oriented approach is required.
• Ability to balance clinical priorities with business needs.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment that may experience rapid changes and innovations.
• Availability for 30 hours per week of direct patient care is necessary.
• Commitment to a minimum of 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 pm in the working time zone is required.
• Must be able to work until 8 pm two evenings per week.
• Attendance at mandatory meetings is necessary.
• Providers must be licensed or registered as required in every state where they provide care.
