This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Provides ongoing technical support, both on-site and via phone, to Canon USA direct technicians and relevant service agents to resolve highly complex issues involving hardware, firmware, and workflow.
• Offers regional training on new adjustments, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting methodologies, including advice on optimizing the use of available resources.
• May develop, organize, and distribute information across the region to enhance the efficiency of other engineers in performing their responsibilities.
• Maintains and updates relevant problem records, escalating any resolved or unresolved issues to Product support for immediate action.
• Oversees the regional FCO database to ensure compliance and facilitate timely installations and dispositions.
• Collaborates closely with the Product support team to share information and implement best practices.
• Undertakes any additional special projects or duties as assigned by the regional service Director or their designee.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required, along with 4 to 6 years of related experience.
• An Associate's degree in mechanical or electronics, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of printers and experience with testing and/or diagnostic applications.
• Ability to foster customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Skill in devising solutions for complex problems.
• Proficient writing, speaking, and listening abilities.
• Demonstrates initiative and self-motivated behaviors.
• Understands principles of computer science, mechanical, electrical, and electronic theory, as well as computer equipment technologies.
• Generally available to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Required to take all necessary steps to acquire security and/or other clearances needed by customers to access their premises.
• Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, MCSE are preferred.
• Must possess commercial print production technical repair experience, with Canon experience being preferred.
