This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take charge of the sales budget for AHF wood (both solid and engineered) within designated geographic areas, focusing on specific Specialty wood flooring wholesalers and contractors who handle both unfinished and prefinished sales of SWF/EWF.
• Support in forecasting and securing additional sales for AHF wood products.
• Propel profitable growth through Direct Wholesalers & Contractors in the residential wood products sector.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales management to formulate and implement integrated value propositions that meet wood sales forecasts.
• Travel to build high-level relationships, deliver strategic presentations, and aid the team in advancing the wood business.
• Create and execute sales plans aligned with the objectives, goals, strategies, and measures (OGSM) for the wood Residential division.
• Partner closely with the manager to ensure optimal performance across all areas.
• Collaborate with Retail Strategic Account teams to enhance sales across all segments.
• Ensure a balanced approach with Robbins' direct team and the Distributor Sales Director to reduce channel conflict and enhance incremental wood sales to AHF.
• Work alongside Product management to develop product collections, pricing strategies, and promotional activities that support the wood business.
• Engage with key clients, assisting sales representatives in maintaining relationships, negotiating, and finalizing deals.
• Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
• Build and manage relationships with key customers for the sale of wood products.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with business unit objectives.
• Analyze market data to assess customer needs, pricing schedules, and discount rates.
• Represent the company at trade association meetings to advocate for the product.
• Act as the sales liaison to other departments regarding the wood business, including the Wood business team.
• Monitor and assess competitors’ activities and products, identifying SWOT elements and formulating plans to address challenges and opportunities.
• Achieve or surpass the sales plan while managing expenses within budget.
• A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year institution in business, marketing, or a related field; or over 10 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to travel 70% of the time.
• At least four years of sales experience in the floor covering industry; experience with solid hardwood flooring is preferred.
• Proven ability to effectively present to key decision-makers.
• Must possess the ability to think quickly and adaptively.
• Demonstrated history of successfully building and maintaining sales relationships with key decision-makers in retail, distribution, and among other end-users and specification influencers.
• Capability to meet the requirements for monthly reporting, sales analysis, and program documentation.
• Proven ability to communicate and coordinate effectively on programs.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to achieve sales objectives.
• Strong project management skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and a commitment to consistently exceed customer expectations.
