
Regional Sales Director – Southwest Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Lead and oversee a regional Account Executive team, providing effective management.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to create a vision and strategies aimed at boosting regional revenue.
• Establish and track regional objectives, quarterly and annual revenue goals, KPIs, and organizational strategies.
• Enhance business growth each quarter by securing new accounts and cultivating multi-year opportunities with existing clients.
• Work together with sales leaders to set and implement annual priorities and initiatives.
• Facilitate two-way communication between field Account Executives and sales management.
• Conduct consultative discussions to assess district needs.
• Monitor progress and assess the quality of sales meetings.
• Maintain regular communication with districts, with an emphasis on premier districts.
• Collaborate with field Account Executives to arrange meetings, obtain district commitments, and deliver high-level presentations.
• Stay updated on literacy instruction and Scholastic product knowledge.
• Engage with project managers regarding the professional learning requirements of districts.
• Maintain contact with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings with Account Executives and the sales team to uncover opportunities.
• Coach and mentor direct reports, offering constructive feedback and assessing progress against individualized goals.
• Willingness to maintain a travel schedule of 85%.
• Proficient in Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Over 5 years of experience in strategic selling across a territory and successfully generating and closing significant opportunities.
• Holding a sales responsibility for at least $10 million in revenue.
• Proven history of achieving quarterly and annual sales and profitability targets.
• Preference for candidates with established relationships in the industry.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in literacy.
• More than 15 years of experience in selling to major/high-level accounts.
• At least 10 years of experience actively selling and managing a team of Account Executives.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
