This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee daily sales operations throughout the region, ensuring alignment with the national brand strategy and guidance from the National Director of Dry Eye Sales.
• Take ownership of regional revenue outcomes, key performance indicator (KPI) achievement, and management of sales activities.
• Implement efficient regional territory planning, route optimization, and targeted practice strategies to enhance growth in both retail and buy-and-bill sectors, specifically within optometry offices.
• Evaluate regional market trends, competitive landscape, and dry eye category performance to uncover opportunities and direct team focus.
• Recruit, mentor, and cultivate a team of high-achieving Territory Managers.
• Conduct regular field visits to evaluate skills, reinforce sales excellence, and provide immediate feedback.
• Promote a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and clinical credibility.
• Collaborate with Sales Training to ensure the team is proficient in product knowledge, sales techniques, and understanding of optometric business operations.
• Enhance relationships with optometrists, office managers, dry eye coordinators, and optical retail partners throughout the region.
• Assist practices in refining dry eye protocols, in-office merchandising, and patient recommendation pathways.
• Implement localized educational initiatives, lunch-and-learns, and product demonstrations to boost brand awareness and portfolio adoption.
• Work alongside Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and provide support for regional professional society events as required.
• Collaborate with marketing, medical, and access teams to ensure cohesive messaging, execution of sampling strategies, and effective distribution support.
• Offer field-based insights on customer feedback regarding marketing initiatives, product updates, and go-to-market strategies.
• Coordinate with national leadership to facilitate regional conferences, trade shows, and strategic customer engagements.
• Monitor regional sales performance, call metrics, and activity reports; identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure timely and accurate usage of CRM, field reporting, and adherence to company policies.
• Manage the regional budget, including samples, travel expenses, and promotional resources.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• 3–5+ years of proven experience in eye-care, OTC, buy-and-bill, pharmaceutical, or medical device sales, with a preference for at least 3+ years in a field leadership or team lead role.
• Strong comprehension of optometric practice operations, dry eye disease, ocular surface health, and consumer OTC recommendation processes.
• Proven track record of driving regional sales growth, mentoring field teams, and establishing customer relationships.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Must be willing to travel within the region up to 60–70% of the time.
