This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will oversee the performance of various cities, including Leipzig and Dresden, treating them as independent business units.
• You drive growth, profitability, and market positioning in your area, ensuring that the Marketing, Sales, Logistics, and Commercial teams align with shared priorities.
• You recognize opportunities, prioritize resources, and guarantee that successful strategies are swiftly executed across the region.
• You engage people, teams, and decision-making within a matrix organization to foster sustainable growth across multiple cities.
• You maintain overall responsibility for regional performance and the management of key KPIs (order volume, market share, conversion, partner performance).
• You formulate the regional growth strategy and allocate resources across cities and customer segments based on priority and impact.
• You optimize the region using a data-driven approach through tests and experiments, subsequently scaling successful initiatives.
• You provide functional leadership and align cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Commercial, Strategy) to ensure effective operational execution.
• You identify key partners and collaborate closely with business units to enhance the quality of offerings and customer relevance.
• You confidently present performance metrics, risks, and growth opportunities during management meetings and business reviews.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: You operate as an “in-house entrepreneur,” thinking strategically, acting pragmatically, and being fully accountable for results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Experience: Several years of background in strategy, consulting, commercial/general management, marketing, or leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Data & growth drive: A highly data-driven approach to work, confident in KPI analysis for decision-making, with experience in experimentation and performance management being ideal.
• Stakeholder & matrix leadership: Strong ability to lead through influence and credibility (even without direct reports), capable of aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals.
• Problem-solving skills: Proficient in structuring complex issues, identifying regional market opportunities, and consistently driving operational execution.
• Nice to have: Experience in platform, e-commerce, tech, or hospitality sectors, as well as managing growth programs, transformations, or turnarounds.
• Languages: Fluency in German and English is required. Additional languages are a plus but not mandatory.
