This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Assist entities throughout the Americas region in upholding effective internal controls, compliance, governance, and risk management practices.
• Serve as a primary regional liaison for internal control leads, process owners, and leadership.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures while enhancing compliance awareness.
• Provide support to other regions as business needs arise.
• Report directly to the Head of Internal Control and Compliance.
• Aid entities in executing internal controls in accordance with established control designs and risk and control matrices.
• Advise stakeholders on enhancing internal control maturity, effectiveness, and documentation.
• Engage in self-assessments, control testing, and walkthroughs for new or modified controls.
• Oversee internal audit and control action plans, ensuring they are closed in a timely and effective manner.
• Facilitate internal control testing and audit activities, acting as a liaison between entities and global functions.
• Review compliance actions and current statuses, identify gaps, and assist in remediation, training, and awareness initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various functions and cultures, influencing progress without direct authority.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, business administration, auditing, or a closely related field.
• Background in internal control, compliance, audit, or risk management.
• Preferably experience within manufacturing companies.
• Solid understanding of control design, testing, and follow-up processes.
• Proficiency in control documentation, including control matrices.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities to articulate risks and corresponding action plans clearly.
• Methodical approach to governance and risk management.
• Experience in an international environment.
• Capacity to engage stakeholders across diverse functions and cultures.
• Proactive and analytical mindset.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Capability to collaborate, influence, and foster trust among teams without direct authority.
