Regional Compliance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• The Regional Compliance Specialist is accountable for all elements of compliance related to Project Based Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, HOME, and Bond in Monroe Group’s expanding portfolio.

• Assess agency requirements and execute compliance protocols for the development of all properties.

• Keep abreast of new policies, procedures, and compliance-related documentation by monitoring state agencies.

• Ensure that all properties utilize the appropriate leasing forms and procedures (including tenant screening) and adhere to relevant leasing regulations.

• Organize documentation and participation for Management Reviews alongside the Community Manager, Regional PMs, and State Compliance Agency prior to on-site evaluations.

• Report any non-compliant properties and collaborate with the Director of Compliance to formulate action plans for those properties.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of LIHTC regulations and Project Based Section 8/Tax Credit residential properties.

• Experience in Acquisition Rehabilitation is advantageous.

• Multi-state experience is beneficial.

• 3-5 years of experience in property management (including subsidy, tax credit, elderly, conventional, etc.) is required.

• Must possess the ability to travel to properties throughout the U.S.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational capabilities and a team-oriented mindset.

• Proficient project management skills are essential.

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity is necessary.

• Onsite Property Management experience is required.
