RCM Specialist – PAR, AR Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Verify eligibility for insurance, benefits, and authorization requirements.

• Submit, track, renew, and monitor prior authorization requests.

• Follow up on insurance claims that are unpaid, denied, rejected, or partially paid.

• Submit corrected claims, appeals, and reconsiderations when necessary.

• Communicate with insurance companies to address authorization and billing concerns.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to decrease outstanding balances and enhance collections.

• Maintain precise documentation in electronic health records (EHR), billing systems, and payer portals.

• Collaborate with providers, scheduling, billing, and credentialing teams to resolve claims and authorization issues.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, payer guidelines, and company policies.

• Identify recurring trends and suggest process improvements to minimize denials and enhance reimbursement.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or behavioral health billing.

• Familiarity with Prior Authorization (PAR) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Proficient in using EHR systems, medical billing software, and insurance payer portals.

• Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare insurance and reimbursement processes.

• Experience in behavioral health or mental healthcare settings.

• Knowledge in claim appeals, denial management, and interactions with payers.
