This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Deliver expertise in exercise planning, execution, and assessment for TF 66.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (e.g., C6F N7) to ensure that TF 66's interests are included in the development of the Fiscal Year Exercise program.
• Support JELC events, understanding the implications and background of exercises related to TF 66's technical analysis efforts.
• Coordinate and work alongside exercise participants, stakeholders, allies, and partners.
• Offer maritime warfighting subject matter expertise to aid in exercise planning, design, execution, data gathering, and analysis.
• Provide general administrative support for all exercise-related requirements linked to planning, execution, and analysis of exercise events.
• Design and create exercise elements that reflect TF 66’s desired capabilities, suitability, and feasibility of RAS platforms, systems, and technologies.
• Offer recommendations on doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership and education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) in support of the exercise report.
• Exhibit experience in drafting Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), Tactical Memorandums (TACMEMOS), and other doctrinal documents and publications to be developed, refined, or reviewed through exercise efforts.
• Design and establish exercise objectives, effects, and measures that incorporate analysis into planning, execution, assessment, and reporting of all events, evaluations, and assessments to relevant boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups related to RAS-related technologies.
• Provide subject matter expertise for the design and development of Flag/SES-level products and associated briefings; this includes, but is not limited to, Exercise Schedules, Experimentation Schedules, Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAM), event planning, progress reports, after-action reports (AARs), and technology assessments.
• Create documents outlining RAS technology requirements, platform behaviors, and desired operational attributes across all domains in support of blue force objectives.
• Assist in designing concepts of employment, operational vignettes, and concepts of operations to ensure RAS compatibility and interoperability with relevant NATO and/or other systems and technologies in theater.
• Review, revise, author, edit, and/or deliver documents detailing new and existing technologies and systems provided by science and technology sources, industries, vendors, and/or communities; support the government in developing priority capability milestones within iterative spirals and schedules.
• Identify and quantify project deliverables, along with associated risks, and recommend suitable mitigation strategies for execution.
• Collaborate with the government lead from TF 66 to develop and monitor funding expenditures, providing monthly status updates.
• Suggest an optimized schedule for technology vendor logistics to facilitate the movement of systems and equipment to the appropriate theater location for execution.
• Foster collaboration across TF 66 and Staff directorates to utilize military sea and airlift capabilities in support of event execution.
• Assist TF 66 with program and technical reviews related to TF 66 Field Demonstration, providing meeting minutes as needed.
• Deliver status updates to TF 66 regarding Field Demonstration progress, accomplishments, status, and challenges.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or no experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an Associate's degree in a relevant field with four years of recent specialized experience; a major certification with six years of recent specialized experience; or a high school diploma with eight years of recent specialized experience.
• An active Secret security clearance is mandatory.
• At least three years of experience in Combatant Command, Component Staff, or a comparable role.
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: technology analysis and procurement; budgeting and programmatics; planning and execution of uncrewed systems (UxS); technical expertise in UxS and/or payload design, configuration, and/or operation; data link systems; weapon systems sensors; afloat network and information exchange requirements; information systems; collection and/or surveillance platforms; or targeting systems.
• Proficient knowledge and skills in using desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
• Experience working within an MS Windows environment and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, with professional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in writing and editing skills, including text organization, style editing, punctuation, grammar, and spelling.
