Radiation Therapist – Full-time Days

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Instructs and prepares patients for radiation therapy or simulations.

• Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of treatments and the use of relevant equipment.

• Prepares necessary supplies and equipment to ensure proper positioning and accuracy of treatment.

• Evaluates patient pain that may interfere with treatments.

• Initiates appropriate physician contact for intervention when necessary.

• Rooms patients and provides direct patient care under the supervision of a physician and/or as directed by an RN/LPN.

• Documents medical histories accurately.

• Prepares patients for treatments while considering their specific needs; administers care based on individual age and capabilities.

• Follows all departmental and radiation safety policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.

• IEMA/IDNS certification in Radiation Therapy Technology.

• ARRT Licensure or eligibility for licensure.

• Bachelor's degree in Science (Preferred).
