Quality Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution of the project quality program as necessary.

• Carry out welder performance qualification testing and document the results.

• Create and sustain quality and related documentation to support the implemented program.

• Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of work aligns with the project quality program and specifications.

• Coordinate local quality activities with the Owner and the Authorized Inspection agency.

• Supervise subcontractor quality on multi-employer projects.

• Maintain close coordination and communication with the Site Quality Manager.

• Aid in the preparation of work and test packages.

• Collaborate as a team player to facilitate product realization.

• Coordinate with subcontractors and Third Party Inspection & Testing Companies.

• Oversee the control and issuance of welding electrodes.

• Assist with nonconformance reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A demonstrated history of fulfilling all responsibilities as outlined above.

• Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.

• Willingness to travel or relocate to the project site for the expected duration of 10-12 months.

• At least 3 years of experience as a quality representative in a heavy industrial environment.

• Experience in a unionized setting.

• Proficient computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel); strong report writing capabilities are essential.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage with client representatives, project managers, and superintendents.

• Capability to analyze complex problems, assess alternatives, and provide innovative recommendations.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple competing priorities.
