This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Cultivate a strong orientation towards teamwork, advocate for diversity, and establish cross-cultural relationships while effectively resolving conflicts.
• Analyze and interpret plans, drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders to ascertain work requirements and associated risks.
• Act as a technical resource and mentor for project team members integrating Mortenson’s Quality system and Three-phase Planning process.
• Facilitate project Quality kick-off meetings and conduct instructor-led training sessions focused on Quality.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project and Field Engineers to devise and execute project Quality Plans, DFW logs, Standardized Work Plans, as well as Turnover and Project Close-out requirements.
• Educate and mentor project teams to execute the Project Quality Plan from the notice to proceed through to final acceptance, ensuring understanding of quality requirements and adherence to contract documents.
• Ensure project teams adhere to established standards and processes for managing Non-Conformance Records (NCRs), the Request for Information (RFI) process, and the submittals process.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather and disseminate lessons learned and best practices that highlight opportunities to mitigate risks and enhance overall project execution.
• Support organization-wide Quality initiatives.
• Exhibit leadership that aligns with Mortenson's core values.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related science or mathematics degree, or equivalent education and technical/field experience demonstrated through multiple years of relevant work experience, or possess Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role within the design, engineering, construction, and/or telecommunications sectors.
• Fundamental knowledge of one or more quality systems, such as Malcolm Baldrige, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, TQM, continuous improvement, value streams, etc.
• Familiarity with the Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) process.
• A self-motivated, independent worker with computer proficiency.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong commitment to teamwork.
• Valid driver's license.
