Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Actively engage in sprint planning, discussions on quality, and sessions focused on testing strategies.

• Design and implement exploratory, context-driven, and session-based testing activities.

• Develop test plans, coverage outlines, and comprehensive testing reports.

• Recognize quality risks and concerns early in the development lifecycle.

• Conduct testing sessions, investigate issues, and document the findings thoroughly.

• Effectively diagnose, prioritize, and report defects.

• Work collaboratively with developers and project stakeholders to enhance software quality.

• Advocate for the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and quality processes.

• Contribute to fostering a robust quality culture within Agile teams.

• Continuously advance your testing expertise through contemporary quality engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.

• Proven experience supporting Agile development teams.

• Strong knowledge of Context-Driven Testing principles.

• Familiarity with Session-Based Testing methodologies.

• Experience in developing test strategies, test plans, and quality approaches.

• Proficient in API and database testing.

• Ability to estimate testing efforts and identify quality risks.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Adept at investigating, synthesizing, and clearly communicating technical findings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Familiarity with Selenium, Playwright, Postman, or other automation tools (Nice-to-Have).

• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity (Nice-to-Have).

• Knowledge of heuristic-based testing approaches (Nice-to-Have).
