
Quality Control Lead – Portuguese (Brazil)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Guide and oversee a team of around 10 Quality Control Reviewers, ensuring uniform quality standards for the Portuguese (Brazil) locale.
• Evaluate reviewer feedback, conduct quality audits, and ensure compliance with project guidelines.
• Serve as the main quality liaison for the Portuguese (Brazil) locale, addressing quality inquiries and escalating complex matters when necessary.
• Facilitate calibration sessions and offer structured coaching to enhance reviewer performance.
• Track quality trends, pinpoint risks, and proactively resolve performance discrepancies.
• Assist in the onboarding and professional development of new Quality Control Reviewers.
• Work in conjunction with global Quality Teams to refine processes, documentation, and ensure quality consistency across AI training initiatives.
• Native-level proficiency (CEFR C2 or equivalent) in Portuguese (Brazil).
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• At least 2 years of experience in AI training, data annotation, linguistic quality, localization QA, or a related quality assurance field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in leading or supervising reviewers, annotators, or quality teams.
• Strong grasp of linguistic quality, including grammar, fluency, tone, register, and cultural nuances.
• Experience in delivering structured, evidence-based feedback and coaching to enhance quality.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the capacity to assess complex tasks that may not have a singular correct answer.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic remote setting.
• Nice to have:
• A degree in Linguistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another analytical discipline.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), RLHF, AI data annotation, prompt evaluation, or NLP-related projects.
