This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Specialist is tasked with conducting tests on applications to identify and resolve issues.
• The QA Specialist will collaborate closely with both QA team members and the Production Team to find solutions to technical challenges, ensuring that the product adheres to established quality standards, such as reliability, usability, and performance.
• Design and implement both manual and automated test scenarios utilizing technologies such as Selenium, Junit, Playwright, Typescript, Node.js, and Python.
• Develop and sustain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency, eliminate flakiness, and guarantee that tests remain robust and dependable.
• Assist in formulating QA standards, testing strategies, and best practices.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools like Jira.
• Contribute to the maintenance of documentation in Confluence.
• Create and manage tests within Xray.
• Focus on and prioritize testing based on critical areas and development roadmaps.
• Ensure seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
• Work collaboratively with developers to troubleshoot issues and recommend suitable solutions.
• Maintain a stable testing environment utilizing sample field data.
• A minimum of a College Diploma in software testing, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience in software testing, quality assurance, and automation.
• Proven ability to diagnose, report, and monitor quality issues.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA principles.
• Familiarity with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, and test design/execution methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools and associated software (e.g., Java, Eclipse, JUnit, Selenium, Playwright, Typescript, Node.js, Python, Cursor).
• Proficient in tools that facilitate workflow management (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Xray).
• Good working knowledge of database technologies such as MS SQL Server and experience in writing SQL queries.
• A self-starter capable of effectively organizing workload and managing competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities.
