This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Accountable for developing and maintaining the system test strategy, along with creating necessary artifacts for test execution, preserving test scripts and artifacts, and overseeing the development of requests from inception.
• Sustain the complete execution environment that supports testing for the relevant systems, including test data, scripts, artifacts, simulators, routines, and business processes.
• Strategize and manage testing activities, demonstrating the ability to produce fundamental test documentation such as strategies, plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Generate scripts using specific tools, both automated and manual, and carry out executions while documenting and analyzing the results.
• Conduct acceptance, compatibility, regression, integration, functional, and non-functional tests (exploratory, connectivity, vulnerability, stress, and load) in accordance with the requirements of each request (based on impact analysis or client-defined specifications).
• Develop mocks, stubs, and/or simulators to facilitate test execution.
• Assess a system's non-functional performance requirements utilizing specialized tools and monitors.
• Track and monitor test coverage levels for systems, advocating for increased coverage when necessary.
• Document defects identified during test execution, associating them with the appropriate work products.
• Analyze the outcomes of each test cycle.
• Assist managers and relevant teams in the validation/acceptance of system requests.
• Create tests based on business scenarios and design tests informed by experience and defects.
• Comprehend the operations of systems under test.
• Develop software test scenarios and identify prevalent software faults and errors.
• Grasp business requirements, programming, and testing to serve as a co-responsible party for the entire development cycle.
• Execute ATDD, BDD, and/or Specification by Example.
• Manage system cycles (active acceptance) in designated environments, encompassing daily, monthly, batch routines, and interfaces.
• Organize and conduct tests to align the testing scope with available timelines.
• Evaluate common security aspects highlighted by the OWASP organization (https://www.owasp.org/).
• Utilize specialized tools for automation, performance, as well as test planning, management, and execution.
• Generate scripts in specialized tools and collaborate on automated execution using variable test data pools (datapool).
• Maintain system cycles in the client’s lab environment, including daily, monthly, batch routines, and interfaces.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and suggest system enhancements.
• Oversee the development, monitoring, and advancement of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), including experiments with end users or test groups, and control and analyze results.
• Establish, monitor, and report performance indicators for innovations/new products.
• Coordinate efforts among multidisciplinary teams, focusing on short-, medium-, and long-term outcomes.
• Collaborate with partners to define, prioritize, and navigate solutions and schedules.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or completion of any undergraduate degree paired with a postgraduate certificate (specialization, master's, or doctorate) in Information Technology of at least 360 hours.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: Must possess at least one of the following certifications, or an equivalent: ATC – Certified Test Analyst from IBQTS (Instituto Brasileiro de Qualidade em Testes de Software); CBTS – Brazilian Software Testing Certification from ALATS (Associação Latino-Americana de Teste de Software) or equivalent; CTFL – Certified Tester Foundation Level; CTFL-AT – Certified Tester Foundation Level - Agile Tester from BSTQB or ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level - Agile Tester.
• Desired experience: 3 years in planning, executing, and automating both functional and non-functional tests, along with managing environments, test data, and system security.
• Proficiency in software test execution and automation; familiar with testing tools, bug tracking, test data generation and automation (e.g., datapool); requirements validation in agile and traditional methodologies; OWASP criteria for security testing; modeling tests based on business scenarios and defects; test notation and technical test documentation.
