This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design and modify research instruments.
• Execute qualitative data collection and supervise fieldwork activities.
• Analyze qualitative data and develop insightful conclusions.
• Assist in the creation of research deliverables.
• Proven experience with qualitative methodologies in social research, market research, or policy research.
• Preferred expertise in fields such as political psychology, social psychology, behavioral science, or public policy.
• Demonstrated experience with qualitative research methods, including conducting interviews, facilitating focus group discussions, and organizing qualitative data.
• Capability to interpret research outcomes within local social, cultural, and political frameworks.
• Familiarity with qualitative analysis tools like NVivo or similar software is advantageous.
• Expected comfort with spreadsheets and fundamental data organization.
• Strong analytical and writing abilities, with the skill to convert complex insights into clear and organized findings.
• Effective communication skills and the capacity to engage with diverse communities and research teams.
• Willingness to travel to remote regions of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and other Indian states.
• An inquisitive nature regarding topics such as climate change, governance, social values, and social transformation.
• Experience in coordinating with external research partners or field agencies is a plus.
• While fluency in English is not compulsory, candidates should be able to read and comprehend English.
• Proficiency in additional Indian languages is highly regarded.
